Heavy Rain: Transport Disruption In UK
Transport, power supplies and schools are being disrupted for a second day after floods across parts of the UK.
The
East Coast main line between Newcastle and Berwick-Upon-Tweed remains
closed after landslides overnight, and delays continue between Newcastle
and Carlisle.
Thousands of homes in northeast England were still without power after substations flooded.
The Midlands, Scotland and Northern Ireland were also deluged.
One man died after being swept away in a Shropshire stream on Thursday.

Mercia Police said the man, whose body was discovered shortly before
midday in the stream at Bitterley, near Ludlow, is believed to have been
in his 60s.
